mtb coaching options

At Bike Dunedin we offer skills based mountain bike coaching for all levels of rider, aiming to increase a riders skill, technique and confidence out on the trails! From complete beginners, to experienced riders wanting cornering technique tips, advanced riders wanting to gain more flow and control in technical terrain to e-bikers wanting to gain more confidence and control descending, we cater for everyone!

Sessions can be done 1:1 or in a group setting, with options for discounted (1.5hr) follow up sessions and a 3 lesson package.

During the Spring and Summer months we offer 6 week blocks of skills programmes for kids and women, these are very popular with limited spaces, so get in fast.

Sessions are built around experience and ability of the rider, focusing on skills and goals riders wish to work towards.  

We also offer gift vouchers! So if you have that special someone who is in need of a helping hand with their riding, get in touch!

mtb 1:1 Coaching Sessions

1:1 Coaching sessions are our most popular coaching option for any ability of rider. The sessions are 2hrs and customised to the riders skills, experience and goals they wish to achieve.  1:1 sessions allows complete focus and for the rider to make rapid improvements.

Date: On demand, run weekends and weekdays, all year round (June-August Weekends Only)

 

Duration: 2hrs. Times worked around your schedule. Evening clinics available in Summer months.

Location: TBC at confirmation of booking. 

Price: $120 1:1 2hr Coaching Session

Follow Up Sessions: We offer 1.5hr follow up sessions at $90 for those wanting regular sessions.

3 Lesson Package Deal: 1 2hr session is never enough! We offer a 3 lesson package deal (1x 2hr & 2x 1.5 follow ups for $270.

Minimum Requirements: Front Suspension mountain bike in good working order. Disc brakes preferred, no hybrids.

What to bring: Riders are expected to bring own bike, helmet, water/nutrition and adequate clothing for the weather conditions.

Poor weather: In case of poor weather, and we deem conditions unsafe, the session will be re-scheduled.

mtb group coaching sessions

Group sessions are a fun and positive way to increase your skills and push your limits with your mates, and the best part, a discounted rate! Whether you are a family wanting to try mountain biking or a group or friends who want to improve, learning  together creates a fun and positive environment!

Date: On demand, run weekends and weekdays, all year round (June-August, weekends only).

Price: $90 per person minimum of 2 people, maximum of 6 people.

boost- wOMENS skills PROGRAMME 

Do you wish you had more confidence on your mountain bike? Do you get hung up on corners? Do roots, rocks and gravel stop you in your tracks? Then come and join the BOOST Women’s MTB Skills programme to improve your technique, gain new skills whilst having fun in a supportive environment.

NOW TAKING REGISTRATIONS FOR 2023/2024 PROGRAMME!

Date:

Mondays:  Beginner  (Can ride grade 2)

Tuesdays: Intermediates (Can ride grade 3/4)

Thursdays: Beg/Intermediate (Can ride grade 2/3)

Spring Intake-  Monday 30th October 2023

                       - Thursday 26th October 2023

         

Summer Intake- TBC 2024 Dates 

                         

 

Duration: 1.5hr Sessions. 6-7:30pm. 8 week programme.

Price: $280 for 6 sessions

Requirements: Front suspension mountain bike and a willingness to give things a go! Riders are expected to bring own bike, helmet, water/nutrition and adequate clothing for the weather conditions.

Must be able to ride NZ grade 2 tracks such as "the big easy". 

**How do I know suitability of group: We have a comprehensive registration form which helps determine suitability of groups, so don't fret if you are unsure! 

 

 There is always flexibility to change too once started.
