boost: womens 6 week skills programme
At Bike Dunedin we run BOOST; a 6 week evening MTB Skills programme for women during the Spring and Summer months. The programme is progressive in content aiming to help riders improve their skills and confidence, all in a safe and fun learning environment! It's also a great opportunity to meet new riding buddies for the weekends. The programme is run over several evenings for 6 weeks. Mondays (Beginners), Tuesdays (Intermediates), Thursdays (Beg/Intermediates), sessions start at 6pm and wrap up around 7:30pm.
To keep a safe learning environment coach to rider ratios are 1:6, so get in quick! See below for details:

6 week progressive MTB skills programme in Spring and Summer months

Requirements: Front suspension mountain bike, can ascend and descend "The Big Easy" (or equivalent), willingness to give things a go!

Maximum of 6 riders per group, allows for safe and constructive coaching.

$280 per rider for 6 week programme.

Session times 6-7:30pm
​

Ability: Monday & Thursday evenings our for our less experienced riders, and Tuesday evenings host the more experienced riders. We break down in to further ability groups on each evening too.

​ If the weather does not play ball and trails are deemed unsafe the session will be re-scheduled to another date in term time. This will be communicated via text message by lunchtime on the day of the session.

boost: beginner/less experienced

This programme is ideal for riders who are relatively new to the sport of mountain biking, or those who may some experience but lack confidence. The programme builds skills and confidence gradually in a fun and supported environment.

Ability: We have multiple coaches thus break off into smaller ability groups. One group applies skills learnt on grade 2 (green) trails working up to blue grade 3, whilst others work on blue grade 3, building to grade 4's.

Minimum Requirements: Front suspension mountain bike in good working order, wider tyres (no hybrids), disc brakes preferred. Must be able to ascend and descent parts of Signal Hill's " The Big Easy". Positive attitude and willingness to give things a go!

boost- EXPERIENCED RIDER PROGRAMME

This programme is ideal for riders who want to progress skills and confidence in order to tackle more technically challenging trails! Ideal for those who can ride on NZ blue graded trails 3/4 who want to master those grade 4's and gain the skills to progress to some Grade 5's!​
